World Robot Olympiad Zimbabwe 2024 was a standout event, held at the National University of Science and Technology!

This year, the competition featured teams from Harare, Bulawayo, and Masvingo. Teams initially competed within their own provinces, with the top three from each region advancing to the national finals. The journey was incredible as the best teams from each province came together to compete for top honors.

The national finals provided a fitting climax to the competition, with an electrifying atmosphere at the National University of Science and Technology as finalists showcased their skills and creativity. In the Senior category, we extend our heartfelt congratulations to Zimuto High School, whose team of Theophelus Beans, Eustina Muvoti, and Flint Shamba emerged as champions and will represent Zimbabwe in Turkey. Queen Elizabeth High School and Petra College Senior secured second and third places, respectively. In the Junior category, Dominican Convent Primary School took the top spot, followed by Masiyephambili Junior College and Helen McGhie Primary School in second and third places.

Special awards were given to Piya Dhaya from Girls’ College as the Most Enthusiastic Hackathon Participant and Chikato Primary School for Best Team Spirit.
